Kneipp cure
Scheffau is the number 1 Kneipp-village of Tirol.
There are 7 Kneipp stations along the idyllic circuit walk close to the village. A Kneipp trainer will show you that 'Kneippen' is not just cold water!
Mountain biking/E-Biking
Whether a mountain or an e-bike - there are numerous routes of all levels of difficulty, surrounded by this unique natural landscape.
Our region belongs to the worlds larges e-bike region “Kitzbüheler Alpen-Kaisergebirge”.
The Hintersteinersee
A beautiful alpine lake approximately 4 kilometres up from the village of Scheffau, at 883 m in height.
One of the most attractive and clearest mountain lakes in Tirol, impressive any time of the day or year. Includes a small bathing area for the summer months.
The Kaiserbad Swimmingpool
Located in Ellmau (5 km), the Kaiserbad has an indoor and outdoor pool with flow channel, natural lake, 4 water slides, large sauna, steam baths, childrens adventure pool, playground and beach volleyball court.
Two beautiful swimming lakes in Going and Söll complete the summer fun in our region.
Golfing in Wilder Kaiser
The excellently groomed 27 hole golf course 'Wilder Kaiser' (88 ha) in Ellmau has developed into a first class course in the Austrian golfing world. Perfectly blending in to the landscape, the sunny location makes for a long season. A game of golf at the foot of the 'Wild Emperor Mountains' is truly a fascinating experience.
Have fun skiing in the 'SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental'
The bus stop for the free skibus is only 250 m from our apartments (distance to ski lifts approx. 1,2 km). Here you are right in the middle of the 'SkiWelt Wilder-Kaiser-Brixental'. One of the largest and most modern ski resorts world wide with over 284 km of piste and 90 state-of-the-art lifts.
Swing into one of the 77 mountain huts in the region.
The Scheffau kids ski school offers a ski playground - 'KinderKaiserland' - up on 1.650 m (directly at the top station of the cable car), a highlight for wintersport enthusiastic kids. Here children learn their first turns in a safe and fun environment.
Cross-country skiing
Scheffau offers a special cross-country attraktion - the 1,4 km night track, snow guaranteed and lights stay on til 9.30 pm.
Also the ideal connection to Söll, Ellmau and Going, altogether over 70 km of prepared classic or skating cross-country tracks. The gentle winter landscape at the foot of the 'Wilden Kaisers' can be enjoyed by beginners and experienced alike.
Winter walking
Over 125 km of prepared walking tracks for you to discover the natural beauty of our Wilder Kaiser region on, away from the pistes.
Tobogganing
Tobogganing fun day and night in Going and Söll (approx. 5 km from Scheffau). There are 3 toboggan runs, snow guaranteed and lit up at night. Toboggan hire available in Scheffau.
